The Georgia Recreational Sports Association (GRSA) provides one student member and one professional member financial assistance in attending the state conference, NIRSA Region II Conference, and the NIRSA Annual Conference as well as one undergraduate student recipient of the Sarah Fain Memorial Scholarship the opportunity to attend the NIRSA Region II Conference. By design, this program gives the state association the opportunity to recognize students who excel in their academic, extracurricular and vocational pursuits; and professionals who serve as positive mentors for students and make significant contributions to the profession.
While these scholarships may be beneficial to students and professionals who are currently active in attending GRSA and NIRSA sponsored conferences and workshops, we hope that such financial assistance may provide others with the opportunity, incentive, and means to attend their first NIRSA event. In either case, the intent of this program is to provide students and professionals with opportunities for personal and professional growth through their involvement in GRSA, Region II, and NIRSA.
